Polymer Activation Apparatus
EXCELL Polymer Feeders activate polymers through a patented, motor-less, high energy, activation apparatus. The apparatus uses the energy available in the dilution water flow to activate all types of liquid polymers.
The polymer is activated as it passes through the high turbulence generated by the patented orifice. The pressure required to operate the apparatus is less than 10 psi.
The orifice opening automatically compensates for solution flow changes. This assures that the polymer activation energy level remains adequate for the flow range of the feeder.
The activation apparatus components are made of corrosion resistant thermoplastics. The system is assembled with o-rings and stainless steel fasteners.
The activated polymer solution flows through a patented, self cleaning sight tube, before it exits the feeder. The sight tube allows the operator to see that the feeder is operating properly.
Liquid Feeder Capacities
- Polymer feed capacities range from 0.1 to 576 GPD (0.02 to 91 LPH).
- The polymer pump can be peristaltic pump, a diaphragm pump, or a progressive cavity pump.
- Dilution water flow capacities range from 10 GPH to 100 GPM (40 LPH to 380 LPM).
Liquid Feeder Options
- Pump controller that can accept a 4-20 mA signal.
- Digital display indicates pump speed.
- H-O-A Switch to allow remote start-stop control.
- Timer to allow a flush cycle.
- Contacts for remote indication of Alarm, Pump Run, or Auto Mode.
- Low polymer flow alarm. (The switch has a thermal dispersion type sensor, with no moving parts).
- Pump speed controlled by the dilution water flow to maintain solution concentration.
- Modulating, motor operated, dilution water flow control valve.
- In-line aging tank. (Tank is fiberglass reinforced and rated for 125 psi).
- Conventional aging tank system with level controls, agitation, and solution metering pumps.
- Custom designs, such as explosion proof or other operating voltage, as needed to meet your needs.
